Design Brief
Located within the Huertas PeñaBlanca development, this residence is part of an ensemble of seven homes set within a 16,000 m² site surrounded by forest, natural springs, and organic orchards. The project embraces the natural environment to promote a lifestyle in harmony with nature. The house, built on a 1,100 m² lot with 600 m² of habitable space, reflects a contemporary interpretation of the regional “vallesana” architecture—warm, modern, and inviting, with generous, light-filled interiors that foster a strong connection between indoors and outdoors. The social area—featuring a double-height living and dining space—opens onto a terrace with a pool and garden through large sliding glass doors. The kitchen is integrated into the common areas, while the service quarters remain separate. Four bedrooms and a family room provide forest views and privacy. Natural light is maximized through expansive windows and strategically placed skylights. Local materials such as wood, stone, brick, and travertine marble were used, along with pitched roofs that reinforce the architectural identity of the region and respond appropriately to the local climate.
