Our proposal for the competition: “Design Competition for the New Museum of Architecture and Design, Helsinki”
The project reflects the relationship between urban space and architectural form through a design rooted in the human experience. The building’s massing strategy intentionally lowers its height at the plaza level, creating an inviting and accessible entrance.
An elevated plaza extends the public realm and integrates seamlessly with the surrounding urban fabric through a public stair. This raised platform enhances connectivity and offers potential for both public and private events, establishing a strong link between the museum’s internal functions and the external urban context.
